A Full Recovery
I was very fortunate to have found such a great deal when I purchased my 2003 Ford E150 Cargo Van. A friend of mine was trying to sell some of his grandfathers possessions after he passed away. Him and I were disusing our future plans to travel and join the vanlife movement and shortly after he sold me Stella for $2600 with only 94k miles. She rolls like a champ but required an enormous amount of TLC. Originally used as a woodworking van, the interior was full of saw dust, wood glue and epoxy. The transformation proved to be a difficult one indeed. My first task was to complete the transformation was to cruise back home from New York to Washington. With the help of others and the necessary tools at hand, this is where the magic could begin . I spent $1100 to fix some front end suspension issues and hit the road. Four days later I arrived in WA and I began the conversion right away. Stella's recovery took me about 2 months to complete. Luckily I was surrounded by some amazing family and friends that were eager to help. Below is a gallery of the transformation, along with a virtual tour of the completed project.
